This is not my 1st bug.....i've had 2 other bugs (a '73 super beetle and a '74 super beetle) that ended up needing WAY more work to get them where i wanted, and let's face it, a super beetle really isn't a good platform for building a baja on. Granted, i'm sure it can be done, but again, more work than i wanted to get into.

For the record, i'm nowhere near new to cars/trucks/motorcycles. I've rebuild many a motors, transmissions, rear ends, etc, etc. But, the VW bug is so simple it is actually hard for me. Why? Hell i dunno, but i know i've asked some of the stupidest questions on the net at times.........so please bear with me.

In all actuallity, i'm going to end up with at least 2 bugs.....the "Baja" you see going together here, and a "street" bug that will be my next project once this one is completed. What can i say? i love both!
