Here's the rust i uncovered after removing the fenders......not too bad i don't think, but not good either........



Here's a pic of the stripped stub axle......picture is crappy, but hey, cheapo cameras will do that to you.



Here's 2 pix of the solid transmission mount.....it is having some alignment issues at the moment but should be fixed next weekend.



As you can tell from the tans strap/mount pix i also got the rear apron cut, but i don't have any pix of that. I also got the "BugPack" dual tube rear baja bumper somewhat mounted, but of course no pix of that either just yet. I'll get some though and upload them soon.

Last week i ordered fullsize replacement floor pans (both sides), all new front brakes w/hardware & wheel cylinders, all new upper & lower balljoints for both sides, and a ton of other pieces i'm going to need. Hopefully next weekend i can start on the front braking/suspension stuff so it can still be a "roller" for when i pull the body. Shortly after i got it home (after the wheel falling off) i ordered a complete front and rear wheel/axle bearing and seal kit. The rear stuff is all in, along with all new brakes, wheel cylinders and hardware, new e-brake cables, turned drums and re-drilled drums to accept chevy 5x4 3/4 wheels. Still need to get the front drums turned and redrilled, but for now the 4-lug VW rims will have to do to keep her a "roller"
